Parents out there listen up! Our Children are a direct reflection of us. We all need to start realizing, that the way that we react to them when they do things good, bad, or indifferent, leaves an impression on the child every time.
For instance, our children will test us every second of the day to see how we will react. Say one of our children, lets say age 4 decides to slam a door in our face. What can/will we do?? Do we yell at him...Do we put them in time out....Do we ignore it....Do we talk to them calmly about it and explaining why it is not appropriate....Do we smack them....Do we take something away from them....Do we reward them....Do we thank them....I'm sure we all can think of several more...What do we do???
Think about how each one of these reactions will effect that child.
Most of the time we do things that will please us and make us as parents feel better. Is that right? Is that wrong?
